3 people shot dead in Pakistan's capital: police

ISLAMABAD, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Unidentified gunmen shot dead three people on the outskirts of Pakistan's capital Islamabad Saturday night, police said.

The incident happened in Bhara Kahu area of Islamabad, and the killed included a prayer leader at a mosque in the area and his 13-year-old son and a religious student, a police spokesperson said after the incident.

The gunmen fired at the victims near the mosque and fled.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet and police said two committees for investigations on all aspects had been formed.
